I can clearly see the moon, shining bright through the aptly-named starboard windows, so it must be midnight wherever we are. Looking at the tracker map which is currently being shown on the screen, we are in the Arctic Circle north of eastern Russia. Everyone has gotten comfortable in their chosen seats, which we were able to do by virtue of the fact that the flight is so incredibly empty. Several people have ended up with entire rows to themselves, and taken full advantage of the fact by laying out across them and using the row as their bed. I have never been able to go to sleep on an international flight on the way to where I'm going, so I've stayed up on this one. I read my book, watched part of one of the movies they've been showing, and written a few posts for this blog. We'll be landing about an hour after breakfast, which is still several hours away. But for now, we're all comfortable settled in.
